$1.5M furniture store opens on Boulevard – Montgomery Advertiser
After more than $1.5 million of renovations, the new furniture store the Boulevard is now open – and carries the slogan âlove your home.â The words have a double meaning for owner Zahi Abdelaziz.
He settled on the name after reading a 2015 Montgomery Advertiser story about recent boulevard investment by him and others.
âThe boulevard is the main artery of Montgomery, and we believe in this place,â he said.
Abdelaziz bought part of the Atlanta Crossing Shopping Center last year to help pave the way for the new Rockinâ Jump Trampoline Park, and he owns several other boulevard businesses.
His investment in the new 2001 East Blvd. furniture store has created a space with a striking look, featuring concrete flooring, high ceilings, and a bright, breezy feel. The products are trendy â linens, rustic looks and solid woods.
âWeâre trying to target the millennial,â Abdelaziz said. âWe try to bring eclectic looks (here) at an affordable price.
âItâs not the (same) look thatâs been all over. You come into a furniture store and itâs always brown all over the place.â
The store is across from Loweâs, near Los Cabos. Itâs been open for a few days but has a grand opening event planned for Tuesday. The hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. on Sunday.
