Array Design Studio offers tips, tricks to reinventing home – Cleveland Jewish News

Array Design Studio in Cleveland prides itself on the work it does. Rightsizing is a word used heavily around its office – as owner Laura Mineff and her team work to “alter home environments as we age, no matter what our age (is).”

Mineff offered five tips to enhance comfort while adding value to the home.

“Choose a design contractor,” Mineff said, to start the process of rightsizing. “Understanding each other will increase your well being and add more value.”

Mineff said that as people age, they should develop a budget and game plan.

“Your design contractor will lead you in establishing that game plan, a process that guides the entire renovation within a budget,” she said.

Homeowners should consider aging in place options to allow them to stay at home for as long as possible. She said simple additions like functional kitchen designs, bathroom adjustments, and function and mobility modifications can be incorporated into the home to allow ease of aging.

Along with simple additions, people should establish a color palette.

“A simple color adjustment alters and redesigns your atmosphere, providing you a new base to grow and expand at your own pace.”

Mineff’s last piece of advice: embrace additional technology.

“Technology has made it possible to easily incorporate cost-effective features to provide security and peace of mind,” she said.
