Head of state agency on aging quits Cabinet post

The Cabinet secretary of the New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department has resigned after about two years on the job.

A spokesman for Gov. Susana Martinez, who appointed Myles Copeland to the position in July 2015, said Wednesday that Copeland tendered his resignation last week and is leaving to pursue a job outside state government.
