Is the conservative think tank Heritage Foundation recruiting conservatives to serve in cabinet positions in a future Donald Trump administration?
That’s what BuzzFeed News is reporting after it claims to have received an email.
The email doesn’t specifically mention the Republican presidential nominee by name, but instead, refers to a cabinet to fill the “next presidential administration” and to further the organization’s “Restore America Project.”
When contacted, according to BuzzFeed, the foundation declined to comment.
Former Reagan Attorney General Ed Meese and former Heritage president Ed Feulner are working on Trump transition team. Meese is a Heritage Foundation fellow.
The emails state, according to BuzzFeed:
The Heritage Foundation’s Restore America Project (RAP) has built an impressive roster of conservatives for potential service in the next presidential administration – receiving recommendations from right-minded Americans from across the country.
You have been recommended. Now, I need to assess your interest in serving as a presidential appointee in an administration that will promote conservative principles.
